Welcome to Jason's memorial website.  Jason was an intelligent, talented and good man with his whole life ahead of him.  However, he suffered in silence from depression, and on his last visit to New Jersey, Jason admitted to his mom that he was addicted to alcohol.  On June 30, 2006, after losing his job and girlfriend, Jason could no longer live with his pain, and he ended his suffering forever.

Suicide is a chilling and incomprehensible word that makes most people shutter.  For those who have been effected by suicide, the reality is horrifying and the trauma is inconceivable.  When a parent loses a child to suicide, the grief they experience is devastating and complicated.   Along with the horrific and violent nature of their loss, they become victims of the stigma associated with suicide.   They are left feeling hopeless and alone, and oftentimes they become suicidal themselves.

Jason's mom, Josee, knowing the devastation and horror of suicide, has  created this site to not only provide a place for friends and family to come and remember him but to also promote suicide awareness and prevention.  In the fall of 2010, Josee joined up with the Strength In Hope /Best Buy suicide and depression awareness tour where she  performed her original songs and shared Jason's story in two concerts.

Jason is at peace now and is  sorely missed by his family and friends.   Life has been changed forever for those surviving the loss of this precious young man.  Only questions remain that will never be answered.  Only memories of a better time keep this remarkable young man alive.
